Ingredients:
– Golden Pastry mix 450g
– water 250-270ml
– fresh baker’s yeast 20-25g
Bake with a lid on for about 30 minutes at 200-215˚C an then for 15 more minutes without the lid
This is everything but ordinary homemade bread!
Activate yeast in water. Combine activated yeast and half of the Golden Pastry mix. Knead the dough with a mixing spoon or spiral attachment on mixer. When the mixture is even, gradually add the remaining amount of mix powder along with constant stirring. What kind of bread are you going to make depends on how the dough is made. The dough is finished when you feel its firmness under your fingers. Cover it and let it rest for about twenty minutes. In the meantime, prepare a pot with a matching lid so the dough can fit into it. Put the empty pot with the lid in the oven and turn on the heaters. Let them warm up. Cut out the baking paper, then use it to put the fermented dough into the pot when the time comes.
Shape the rested dough into a loaf or stir it and form a round shape… Let it rest again, in a lukewarm place, protected from drying out for up to half an hour. Before putting the bread in the pot, cut it on several places with a sharp knife.
Return the covered pot into the oven and bake it for half an hour. After that, remove the lid leave it open in the oven for another 15 minutes. You will be delighted by the shape of the bread and the amazing smell.
Baking can also be done in a bread pan, on a flat plate, in a baking bag, whatever suits you.
If you have experience in preparing bread, feel free to work as usual, do not change much. For those with less experience, the advice is to play with the dough, but gloves are a must for working with the oven!
